Managing and Securing your Account
Your Account is the gateway to your data and your Organisation's data. It is important to secure your account to prevent unauthorized access to your data. This guide will help you understand how to manage and secure your account.
Managing your Account
You can manage your account by visiting the My Account page. Here you can update your account details, change your password and manage your account security.
Updating your Account Details
Under the Account Details
section, you can update your account details such as your account username, name, surname, email address, phone number as well as your profile picture.
💡 Note: Username and email address are unique, but they are also important for logging into your account!
Changing your Password
Under the Change Password
section, you can change your account password. It is recommended to change your password regularly to prevent unauthorized access to your account. After changing your password, all other devices will be logged out, and you will need to log in again.
Managing your Account Security
Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is an additional layer of security that helps prevent unauthorized access to your account. When 2FA is enabled, you will need to provide a verification code in addition to your password when logging in.
You can enable 2FA by pressing the Enable
button and following the instructions. You will need to install an authentication app on your phone to generate the verification codes.
Here are some popular 2FA apps:
- Google Authenticator for Android
- Google Authenticator for iOS
- Microsoft Authenticator for Android
- Microsoft Authenticator for iOS
- Twilio Authy for Android
- Twilio Authy for iOS
Once you have one of these apps installed, you can scan the QR code on the screen to add your account to the app. The app will then generate a verification code that you can use to verify and enable 2FA.
💡 Note: Make sure to keep your backup codes in a safe place. If you lose access to your 2FA app, you can use these codes to log in. But remember, these codes are one-time use only!
Deleting your Account
If you no longer need your account and wish to delete it and related data, you can delete it by pressing the Delete Account
button. Deleting your account is irreversible and will permanently delete all your data! However, you have up to 30 days to recover your account by logging in again and pressing Cancel Account Deletion
.
After the 30 days, your account and all related data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
What data will be deleted when you delete your account:
- Profile Information
- Leave Requests
- Sick Day Logs
- TOIL Logs
- Work Time Logs
- Organisation Data
- Subscription Data
