Tracking and Managing TOIL
TOIL Requests work in a similar way to the other requests in the system, but they are not tied to a specific task. Rather they are used to track and manage additional work that is outside of the normal task workflow.
Creating a TOIL Request
To create a TOIL Request, click on the TOIL Requests
tab in the left-hand navigation menu and then click on the
New TOIL Request
button.
From here, you can fill out the form with following details:
- Employee (only if you are a Manager or Admin)
- Date
- Amount (in Hours and Minutes)
- Notes (optional)
After filling in the details, press the Save
button to create the TOIL Request. The Manager for that employee will
receive a notification and can then approve or reject the request. After the Manager has taken action, the Employee will
be notified of the outcome.
Tracking TOIL Requests
You can view all TOIL Requests in the TOIL Logs
tab. Here you can see the status of each request, the Employee who
requested it, the date, the amount of TOIL, and any additional notes. If you have an active TOIL Request, you can cancel
it by clicking the Cancel
button.
All accrued TOIL will be displayed in the Employee's profile as well as in their table row within the Employees section.
